Plans for Survived

-

Survived kicked off this season's Group One calendar with success in the Makfi Challenge Stakes and that's again his initial target next term, albeit from new training quarters. Prepared for his Makfi win by John Bary last year, the Don Gordon-bred and raced Survived has transferred to Waipukurau trainer Kelly Burne, who reported that the Zed gelding was two weeks away from returning to work. “He's at the owner's place spelling but he's looking really good,” she said. “He'll be back in work in a couple of weeks and we'll look at the Hastings series for him, but we'll be taking it one race at a time.”
