Tradition continues
The colours made famous by a great stayer of yesteryear were carried to a first training success for Jaimee-Lee Lupton at Tauherenikau yesterday. She savoured a special moment and continued a proud family tradition when Jonathan Parkes rode Miss Enders to victory in the Agriseeds Mile. Parkes was in the colours that were donned by Jim Cassidy when he won the 1983 Melbourne Cup aboard the mighty Kiwi — a combination that was also successful in the Wellington Cup of the same year for the late Snow Lupton. The Lupton family has been successfully involved with racing for many years.
