Temples damaged

-

Rescue workers yesterday surveyed the damage after a powerful earthquake shook Burma, killing at least four people and damaging 185 ancient Buddhist pagodas in the former capital of Bagan, a major tourist site. The US Geological Survey said the magnitude 6.8 quake was centred about 25km west of Chauk, a town south of Bagan, at a depth of about 84km.
