Pistol club activities well known

-

The article about the Auckland Pistol Club having noise complaints laid against it really irks. The club has been around for 47 years. The new residents have just arrived. They would have known that the gun club was going to be a neighbour when they purchased their properties. And yet, they still chose to build adjacent to the club.

The complainants are probably townies moving out to the city for a quieter life. The country is not necessarily quiet, it has its own set of noises. Tractors, chainsaws, ride-on-mowers, dirt bikes and cows mooing for example.

They could always move back to town instead of complaining. Or at least stop being faceless behind anonymous complaints and front up to the gun club and see if you can find a suitable resolution. Remember, it was there a long time before you decided to move into their neighbourhood.
