More numerous than Republican-leaning married women for the first time. 60% voted Democrat in 2012. Make up 27% of population in Georgia and Florida.

Educated white women* 10%

Usually Republican­leaning but many dislike Trump and could vote Democrat this time.

10% in Minnesota and Colorado.

Hispanics* 11%

Traditiona­lly Republican, Florida’s Latino population is increasing­ly non-Cuban and Democrat, as in some other states.

10-15% in Nevada, Arizona, Florida and Colorado.

DONALD TRUMP White working class* 37%

60% of this very large group are now Republican, particular­ly male voters. That’s a 10% increase on 2012.

50% in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio.

UNCLEAR Military veterans* 8%

Traditiona­lly Republican, high turnout. But support is falling (65% in 2008, 60% in 2012) and Trump is less popular still.

10% in Virginia, North Carolina and Florida.

White Catholics* 13%

One of the only true swing groups. Less Republican than in 2012.

25% in New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Pennsylvan­ia.
