More HIV charges
A Christchurch nursing assistant accused of having unprotected sex with three men without disclosing his HIVpositive status yesterday denied the charges. Johnny Lachlan Benjamin Lumsden, 26, was arrested last month and appeared at Christchurch District Court on a criminal nuisance charge that he had unprotected sex without telling a man he was HIV-positive. Now, he has been charged with two more alleged encounters in Christchurch, with two other men. He also faces a new charge of supplying a class A controlled drug, methamphetamine. Judge Paul Kellar yesterday remanded Lumsden on continued bail to a case review hearing on March 6.
