Odd note
It was heartening to see that virtually all politicians, irrespective of political persuasion, had the good grace to acknowledge John Key’s outstanding contribution as PM over eight years. The one notable exception was Winston Peters who instinctively defaulted to his usual “conspiracy theory mantra” stating Key’s reasons for stepping down “cannot be credible or for any reasons he has given.” At a time like this you would at least hope for some humility.
