Goalkeeper Wayne Shaw has found an ally in Gary Lineker in the pieeating controversy that has cost him his job at Sutton. Shaw resigned yesterday after two betting probes were launched after he was shown eating a pie in the dugout during the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal. It emerged after the match that a bookmaker had offered odds on Shaw to do so, with the 46-year-old admitting he was aware of the market. “So Wayne Shaw, who slept on a sofa 3 nights a week at Sutton to maintain and run the place loses his job over #piegate.
