Car hits crowd

A 73-year-old male pedestrian has died after being run over when a car rammed into a crowd of people in Heidelberg, Germany. Armed police earlier shot the driver after he injured three people when he drove his car into a pedestrian area in the centre of the city. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The 35-year-old German man, who was armed with a knife, attempted to flee.
