Japan launch boat

Dean Barker’s Team Japan have become the latest America’s Cup syndicate to unveil their race boat for this year’s event in Bermuda. Team Japan launched its new boat, named Hikari, at its base in Bermuda yesterday — a big milestone for the team as it bids to become the first Japanese-flagged challenger to win the America’s Cup. Hikari, meaning ‘flash of light’, was selected from over 430 names submitted by fans in Japan through a nationwide contest.
