THE BEST ISLAND TO VISIT? Fitzroy Island is perfect for families and just a short ferry ride from Cairns. Safe and easy snorkelling off the beach (see turtles on early morning swims).
TOP 3 THINGS TO DO? Walking the Red Arrow in the early morning, swimming in Josephine Falls on the way to Mission Beach, Sunday afternoons at Strait on the Beach... Listening to local musicians, enjoying a delicious glass of rosé or a cold beer with a cool sea breeze.

JUST THE PLACE IF YOU’RE AFTER ADVENTURE? White water rafting on the Tully River is incredible – beautiful scenery surrounded by tropical rainforest.
