Show good for business

It sticks in my throat to say it but I agree with the Act Party principle of minimal government interference in business.

Why is the National Government spending $53 million on the Dubai World Trade fair to promote NZ trade? NZ trade is business not personal! NZ business gets 100 per cent tax deduction on advertising and promotion of its products and services. Taxpayers nil!

All the Government had to do was coordinate the businesses that wanted to show their wares in Dubai and then charge them for doing it.
