Lara: Scrap draws
Former West Indies batsman Brian Lara says having a winner in every test match could arrest dwindling crowd numbers. The 47-year-old, who played 131 tests before retiring in 2007, praised the introduction of Twenty20 cricket and suggested a change in the long form of the game could have similar effects in bolstering crowds. Lara said he would like to see test draws scrapped; adding a winner in each match could make the game more attractive.
