Short & sweet

On attraction

The Jacindaphobes who envy her youthfulness and enjoy pointing to the apparent declining favour of the young men, Macron and Trudeau, are disingenuously ignoring the blindingly obvious difference.

George Collins, Tauranga. Maybe Jacinda has risen in the polls because the last debate was weighted in her favour with a crowd of obvious Labour supporters. Seems to me totally unfair, but who am I, just a humble voter tired of media bias.

Jessica Quinn, Papakura.

On promises

My very wise 88-year-old mother has predicted the political party that does not get into power will breathe a sigh of relief that they will not have to find the money for all the promises they have made. Catherine McInally, Bucklands Beach.

On cut

Whoever cuts Israel Dagg’s hair needs to go to a hairdressing school or be sacked. A real shocker and he is not the only one.

Gary Stewart, Foxton Beach.

On Blues

A group of adults gathers for a party at a private home which carries on until 6am — shock, horror. This made headlines in a national paper. What sort of namby pamby society are we becoming?

Greg Moir, Kerikeri.

On emissions

Did Jacinda say she wants to stop all carbon dioxide emissions by a certain date? Does that mean I can only breathe in and not out? Pat Donovan, Albany.
