On capital

In the article by Martin Johnston about the John Logan Campbell book on Saturday’s A10, he says New Zealand’s capital was first at “Kororareka/Russell”. That is not correct. The first capital was at Okiato, which was named Russell. Kororareka was named Russell later, when the capital had already moved to Auckland. Bob Pearson, Unsworth Heights
