Hot tip for a good pub Dear Sir, Inspired by a comment in your letters pages by Grant Edgecombe, of Cambridge [‘Letters to the Travel Editor’, Travel, August 30, 2016] last year, my wife and I took up his suggestion and stayed at the Station Hotel, Hunterville. We’re very happy to say our overnight visit there was, as he suggested, most enjoyable.

Maybe other readers could pass on their experiences of New Zealand country pubs that offer bed-and-breakfast accommodation as there is possibly an untapped range of new experiences awaiting the traveller around the country.
