Dollar falls

The Kiwi dollar fell versus the Aussie after a bank survey showed Australian business conditions jumped to a record high last month. The New Zealand dollar was trading at A89.99c at 5pm yesterday versus A90.44c at 8am. It was at US68.68c versus US68.98c at 8am. It traded at 52.35p from 52.72p late on Monday and at €58.83c from €59.50c. The trade-weighted index fell to 72.94 from 73.44. The two-year swap rate was unchanged at 2.19 per cent while 10-year swaps fell 1 basis point to 3.21 per cent.
