Law firm behaviour

-

A certain type of men in industries such as law have been taking advantage of women in the workforce for a long time. Often men in power have an addiction to validation of the other sex and their misguided belief they can get away with sexually inappropriate behaviour has led to a disrespectful environment in many firms.

We are made to believe that these men who uphold the rule of law and facilitate the administration of justice have a high standard of morals and values when in fact some treat women in the workforce as easy targets for sexual harassment.

Dame Margaret Bazley’s plan to overhaul this culture in the law industry will hopefully change the behaviour and attitudes of these men. Women in the legal profession and all other industries must speak up to gain gender equality and a safer environment at work.
