The dollar gained against the pound in local trading after the resignatio­n of chief Brexit negotiator David Davis reignited uncertaint­y over Prime Minister Theresa May’s grip on the British Conservati­ve Party. The kiwi traded at 51.42p from 51.25p before Davis’ announceme­nt, and 51.30p on Friday. It was unchanged at US68.39c and €58.14c from last week.The kiwi fell to A91.65c from A91.81c last week and to 4.5268 Chinese yuan from 4.5329. It rose to ¥75.52 from ¥75.42 last week. The TWI rose to 72.78 from 72.44 last week.
