On handwriting

A hospital patient suffered less than optimal post-operative care because the nurse couldn’t read the doctor’s handwriting. Is this a side effect of computerisation? Is the ability to write legibly and read a variety of styles becoming a lost art? Jeanette Grant, Mt Eden.
