More than half of males pass their practical driving test at the first attempt, compared with 39 per cent of females, according to a new survey of 1500 British motorists. When it comes to the theory test, 64 per cent of men succeed at the first attempt, against 54 per cent of women. Men also needed fewer driving lessons, typically taking between 16 and 20 hours. Women needed 41 hours before passing. But males accounted for 74 per cent of all UK road deaths and 70 per cent of injury accidents, reports the Daily Mail.
