Snorkeller in strife

A man snorkelling near Leigh was airlifted to North Shore Hospital after getting into difficulties. A St John spokeswoman said staff were called to Goat Island just before 11am yesterday where a 45-year-old man was taken from the water in a critical condition. Once stabilised, after midday, his status improved to moderate.
