Primate politics
David Hunter’s article on animal research has an interesting, sinister, side note. In my web research on why Trump was elected I came upon references to the use of brainwave research on non-human primates to formulate social media postings that stimulate cognitive biases in US voters/consumers. Cognitive biases are mistakes in logical reasoning that, for example, cause voters/consumers to act against their self-interest.
The fact that the research subjects are mute and privately owned provides excellent cover for the political and advertising research firms.
