Assault charges

Police have charged two 19-year-olds over an alleged assault on a 56-yearold man outside a Hastings petrol station on Sunday night. A man appeared in Hastings District Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. A woman is set to appear in the same court on the same charge on Friday. The 56-year-old remained in Hawke's Bay Hospital in a critical condition yesterday, police said.
