Kiwi debuts

New Zealand cyclist Ella Harris has made her debut with women’s World Tour team Canyon SRAM Racing. The 20-year-old rode her first top-level European race at the Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana Feminas, crossing the line in 23rd in the one-day race. Harris, who won a competition against 5000 other cyclists to earn a contract with the well-regarded team, was a key helper for teammate Alice Barnes, who claimed second place. Harris is one of four New Zealand women racing for top World Tour teams.
