Entry into the competitio­n is restricted to those who have prequalifi­ed at fashions in the field events around the country. However, Vodafone Derby Day also plays host to the Hawaiian Airlines Fashion Qualifier where four lucky ladies will gain wildcard spots in The Ned Prix de Fashion regional final. Entry into the fashion qualifier is free for female racegoers* and you can enter on the day or pre-event at ellerslie.co.nz.

Prize

Valued at more than $20,000, the winner-takes-all package consists of a $15,000 prize from The Ned (including an all-expenses paid trip to Marlboroug­h for four people complete with a VIP wine tasting with the owners of Marisco Vineyards; a Trelise Cooper VIP shopping experience; plus more); a $5,000 prize from Victoria Racing Club (including a trip to Melbourne with entry into the MYER Fashions on the Field Preliminar­y Finals on Lexus Melbourne Cup Day 2019); a headpiece from Jill & Jack Millinery; and prizes from both The Art of Nails and Dry & Tea.

PLUS! Thanks to the generosity of Hawaiian Airlines, the four women who qualify for a spot in the competitio­n’s regional final on the day will each win 100,000 air miles.

And for the men!

Men have not been forgotten either thanks to the Hawaiian Airlines Menswear competitio­n. The guy deemed the day’s best dressed will win 100,000 Hawaiian Airlines air miles and three nights’ accommodat­ion at an Outrigger Resort property in Waikiki, plus Antler luggage courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines.
