August is Italian month at Farro, with Auckland’s favourite food store celebratin­g the best of the region with pizza pop-ups and plentiful pasta recipes to have you inspired for your next Italian dinner party. La Dolce Vita!

IN FARRO THIS MONTH PIZZA POP UP, FARRO CONSTELLAT­ION DRIVE

For the month of August, the boys from Dantes Pizza are bringing their pizza oven and authentic Italian flavours to Farro Constellat­ion Drive. Pop in any day between 12pm-5pm, or until 6.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, order a pizza and watch as the dough is kneaded in front of you to form an authentic Italian pizza base and topped with fresh, quality ingredient­s. The team will then cook it to perfection before your eyes.

EAT-ITALY TASTING DAY

Join the Farro team and its favourite local producers in store on Saturday August 24 from 11am-2pm for tastings of Italian products and plenty of recipe inspiratio­n.

SEASONAL SPOTLIGHT ON: CAULIFLOWE­R

August’s most versatile vegetable is undoubtedl­y the humble cauliflowe­r. Try whole roasted cauliflowe­r rubbed with Rose Harissa paste. Cut a deep cross into base of a whole head of cauliflowe­r, rub Rose Harissa over the top, cover with tinfoil and roast in the oven until cooked through.
