There’s nothing better than cuddling up with a hot cup of tea on a cold winter’s day, and Ti Ora’s range offers a unique and refreshing experience by using a variety of New Zealand botanicals which have been prized for generations.

Meaning ‘ tea of wellbeing’ in Māori, Ti Ora makes its teas with high- quality natural ingredients, and each one of their teas and infusions is uniquely blended with a native New Zealand Botanical – Mānuka, Kawakawa or Horopito.

Mānuka was used extensively by the Māori and later by the early European Settlers for its herbal remedy function, alone and in combination with other native plants. Ti Ora uses the strong, distinctive flavour expertly in several of their blends, and is particularly well suited to complementing teas with a more intense flavour profile.

Kawakawa, is a small tree which i s endemic to New Zealand. The l eaves are often covered with i nsect holes. The name Kawakawa in Māori refers to the bitter taste of the l eaves, from ’ kawa’ bitter. Kawakawa l eaves have a distinctive green, fresh flavour which accompanies the flavour of Green Tea perfectly.

Horopito, endemic to the shores of Aotearoa, has a slightly spicy, bitter taste which pairs wonderfully with Ti Ora’s Cinnamon Chai Tea, and provides a spicy pick-me-up on even the chilliest winter’s day. These botanicals are now finding their way into a multitude of recipes and even into the hands of mixologists aiming to bring something new and uniquely Kiwi to the table.

The entire Ti Ora collection is lovingly blended right here in New Zealand, and served in silky, spacious pyramid tea bags for quality brewing. So why not try out one of Ti Ora’s unique blends for your next cuppa? You’ll be happy you did.
