Try The TRENDS

2021’s prettiest bridal beauty trends have something to offer every bride-to-be

-

Whether you’re the type to embrace high-octane glamour or prefer to keep things glowy and natural, when it comes to bridal makeup the options are endless.

No matter the look you choose there’s one thing all brides should do in the lead-up to their big day — and that’s follow a consistent skincare regime.

Consider booking in for a consultation with your preferred skin clinic at least six months before your wedding — they’ll be able to advise which in-clinic treatments and take-home products will work best together to glean the results you’re after (glowing complexion, anyone?).

For makeup, there’s no simpler way to stand out than with an of-the-moment pop of colour on the lips.

While a nude lip has always been a good go-to for a bride, there has been a move to more brides opting for bolder colour on the lips. Think peach hues, modern pinks, mulberry or deep rose shades.

Not one to try a bold lip? Keep things simple with a more monochromatic look — think creamy brown shadows paired with a matching lip colour, which gives the complexion a soft definition that is timeless.

If you’re a fan of a perfectly smudged smoky eye, consider switching out black for moody shades of rich mauve or rust — they help to deliver a bit of edge while still feeling fresh and feature-defining. Pops of metallic eyeshadow in the centre of your eyelid will also help to catch the light in photos.

On the subject of metallics, winter brides may love to experiment with a burst of silver shadow in the inner corner of their eyes, as seen on the runway at Chanel’s pre-fall catwalk. It’ll widen and brighten your eyes while still appearing clean and polished.

Mod-ish, pearlescent white eyeliner brings a little 1960s flair to bridal beauty, especially when drawn in tandem with classic black. Try not to detract from your slick cat-eye by keeping lashes soft and feathery.
