‘Event Full’ lead up to Christmas
Christmas around the corner and we don’t look to be slowing down yet. The ongoing ‘Your Next Job’ series is still running, there are two more Business After Five events, a final ChamberChats session, and a few more bite size information downloads in the LunchBox Sessions before we call it a Merry Christmas. A reminder of what to expect at the various events over the next few weeks, there may be the gift of a business connection, useful resources or new skill you walk away with.
This series of free quickfire workshops is open to people at all career stages, they cover key areas important to making career decisions. The workshops range from financial wellbeing and how to market yourself, to what to consider when starting your own business. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Social Development in partnership with NorthTec, NorthChamber, People Potential and Work Ready Employment Solutions. The workshops take place the Tai Tokerau Skills Centre + Te Rua o Pukenga, 38 Banks Street, Whangarei,
- Sort your finances so you can focus on your job hunt, know what support is available. Tuesday 24th November 9.30am until 11.00am
- Identify your preferred interests skills and values. Identify employment challenges that you need to address. Be clear on what you have to offer Tuesday 24th November 11.00am until 12.30pm
- Promote your best self, show your value-add in your CV, cover letter, digital profile or portfolio. Wednesday 25th November 9.30am until 11.00am
- Be strategic in your next action, become comfortable in formal inter-views, use your network and develop know-how to stay current, with market-ready skills. Wednesday 25th November 11.00am until 12.30pm
- Job hunting is hard work understand the six domains of resilience and how to sustain your job search. Wednesday 25th November 1.30pm until 3.00pm
- ISelf Employment and You - Is selfemployment for you? Explore self employment as a career option and the resources available. Friday 4th December 9.30am until 11.00am.
