More arrests and seizures

Police made more drug arrests and seizures when they executed search warrants at three Far North properties on Friday. Other alleged offenders were referred to the specialist police Methamphet­amine Harm Reduction team.

Sergeant Ryan Gray said officers seized $8000 cash at a Kaitaia address, and charged a 28-year-old man and a 37-year-old female with possession of methamphet­amine for supply. A 19-year-old who was found with a meth pipe was referred to the Meth Harm Reduction team.

Ammunition was

also found at the address.

Two women, aged 29 and 32, were arrested when cannabis seeds and utensils were found at a house at Ahipara, while quantities of methamphet­amine and cannabis were found at a property at Opononi. A 56-year-old woman was charged with possession of meth and cannabis for supply, and possession of utensils. She was to appear in Whanga¯rei District Court.

Earlier last week, police found $2800 cash at a Moerewa address, and charged a woman with possession of meth for supply.
