WHAT’S NEW

-

BABY STEPS Tate Design, a new Wellington-based interior design business specialises in all things children. Former paediatric nurse Tania Hussey teamed up with marketer and project manager Kate Symes a year ago to create gorgeous nurseries, bedrooms and play spaces for little people to love and explore. An example of their work is pictured above. They share a passion for interiors, styling and photography.

‘‘What’s unique about us is that we don’t just design rooms from a blank canvas, but we can bring to life and reinvent ones using existing furniture and decor. We are passionate about design and stylish solutions,’’ Symes says.

Tate Design can also enhance other areas in a home and its services include styling and preparing houses for sale.

Whether it be vintage, minimalist, themed or modern, the duo can design something to suit all tastes and spaces with both functionality and practicality in mind.
