I have an issue around approachin­g traffic lights when they turn orange. Should I stay or should I go? Here’s an idea, paint a simple orange line across the road twenty metres or so back from the intersecti­on. Why QMS needs reform (August 29) had it right, but we’re not going to see reform because most of the quota is now held by the country’s most influentia­l business investors, whose only concern is maximising their investment. If the quota had been required to stay with the boat and fishermen that received it the quota would be in the hands of people who had a vested interest in the health of the fishery.
