Fifa World Cup Qualifier, 7pm, Tuesday, Sky Sports 2
The All Whites will be looking to take a big step towards a World Cup playoff with victory against Fiji at Wellington’s Westpac Stadium tonight. Assuming they avoided defeat against the same opposition at the weekend, a win would propel them into a two-leg playoff against the top team from Group B later in the year. Opening out and darkening the original tale (adapted from Cressida Cowell’s series of books), returning writer-director Dean DeBlois’ second part of a proposed trilogy is also a rollicking self-contained adventure that skilfully manages not to overcomplicate a successfully simple premise. Filled with engaging characters, witty dialogue, crisp animation and breathtaking aerial shots, this 2014 animated sequel is not for the faint of heart adult or easily frightened preschooler but provides plenty of enjoyment.
The Neon Demon, 8.30pm, Saturday, Rialto

What seems initially like the traditional ingenue’s misadventures-in-the-big-city gradually descends into something far more dark and disturbing, as Refn takes the conceit that the modelling industry will chew you up and spit you out almost literally.
O Brother, Where Art Thou?, 8.40pm, Saturday, Maori TV
George Clooney, John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson star in this hilarious 2000 crime comedy about three escaped convicts looking for buried treasure in the 1930s deep south. ‘‘A wild, whacked-out wonder, ‘‘ wrote Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers.
Margin Call, 8.30pm, Sunday, Choice
Despite covering similar ground to The Company Men, George Clooney’s Up in the Air and cult 1992 film Glengarry
Glen Ross, writer-director JC Chandor’s 2012 deadline-driven global financial crisis thriller feels fresh and compelling. The cast includes Paul Bettany, Stanley Tucci, Kevin Spacey and Jeremy Irons, the latter sublime as a slippery chief executive. Both a chilling financial horror story and a solid investment of your time and money.
