Baker boys do battle

-

is good to get on a run like this because you go to the races a bit confident.

‘‘Last week I went with three chances and they all won. That isn’t going to happen every week, but I’m taking five to Randwick and would think there would be a winner there somewhere.

‘‘Even horses like Cadogan and Gold Ambition are each-way hopes.’’

Baker will be in Brisbane where he is after a second career Group I in his own right when Egyptian Symbol and Bonnie O’Reilly line up in the Tatts Tiara at Doomben today.

‘‘They didn’t draw that well but I’m not too worried about that. Bonnie O’Reilly has the speed to lead 1200-metre races, so I think she should be able to get across them and control the race,’’ Baker said.

‘‘Egyptian Symbol will need a bit of luck to get in but I think they are both up to being in the finish.

‘‘In Her Time is the one to beat but they are a very even bunch.’’

At Randwick ,Baker backs up horses on a roll. Test The World is shooting for her sixth win of the season, and a fifth on end, while Collateral is chasing a fourth consecutive win.

Test The World will take the lead in the BOBS horse-of-theyear standings if she can win.

‘‘We always had a good opinion of her but she is tough and keeps winning,’’ Baker said.

‘‘She bounced off that win last Saturday and is ready for 1400 metres.

‘‘Collateral steps up to 2400 metres, which is a bit of a concern but he is just doing everything right at the moment.’’

Baker also takes Sangiovese fresh from winning midweek.
