Jacinda Ardern has pledged to quit rather than raise the NZ Super age. The real issue is not the age of entitlemen­t, but eligibilit­y. It would be much more reassuring if Ardern pledged not to means-test our entitlemen­t to this pension. In the absence of such a pledge, those still employed at 65, those with investment incomes, and our socalled asset-rich, aka homeowners, should be wary.
