Radio New Zealand chairman Richard Griffin is quoted as saying he finds ‘‘the whole (Hirschfeld/Curran) thing quite distressful’’. Distressful? Is that a word? I guess it is now. Helen Carver, Takapau

What will we see when the new buses travel over the rainbow crossing? A collide-a-scope of colour?

What a dreadful shame, but it must be hugely frustrating for Auckland electric car owners being unable to charge their machines because of a power outage that is likely to last for 4 or 5 days. It would seem that electric vehicles don’t really appear to be a very wise choice, especially as natural disasters are happening more often lately.
