SUMMER DAY

-

15 mins of fame

This summer, the Dominion Post hit the streets to ask people a series of random questions for our 15 Minutes of Fame project: from your favourite place for coffee, to what do you think of Donald Trump? Today we spoke to Tamzin Lee, a chiropractic student originally from Napier.

If money was no object, what would you do with your life? Would you work?

I think everyone would say they wouldn’t work but I’d be bored not working. I’d just work at my leisure – maybe start a business and work when I wanted and when I felt like.

You’re prime minister – what aspect of life, currently paid for, do you make free for all Kiwis?

Healthcare. I think it’s just so vital. Healthcare is one of those things you can’t live without, so I think it should be free for everyone.

Worst purchase you’ve ever made?

I bought a chai latte yesterday and it was really gross. It was really bad, really syrupy, and it was like $6. That’s just what popped into my head.

In five years’ time, will you be driving a petrol or electric vehicle, and why?

Probably a petrol, because I really like my car and I don’t want to sell it. It’s a Volkswagen Beetle – I don’t want to part with that.

My idea of hell is?

A world without Christmas.

If time and money were no object, would you sign up for Elon Musk’s trip to Mars?

No. I don’t want to go to space – space scares me. I’ve never had any desire to leave the planet.

Would you like to be famous? Why or why not?

No. I’m really private, so I kind of like people not knowing me.

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

I’ve been reading the Bible in full, so it’d be just to make sure I do that every day. Sticking at that, that’s my No 1.

Donald Trump – a self-centred time bomb, or a breath of fresh air in world politics?

Time bomb, 100 per cent.

What trait do you most abhor in others?

People who are impatient.

Would you rather be able to fly or have the power of invisibility? Why?

Invisibility – so I can be sneaky.
