What do you think of Trump? Where is your favourite place to get a coffee? This summer, The Dominion Post hit the streets to ask people random questions for our 15 Minutes of Fame project. Today: Peter ‘Hooks’ Horne, a disabled bowler and paper deliverer from Taita, Lower Hutt. Donald Trump – a self-centred time bomb, or a breath of fresh air in world politics?

Donald Trump is a walking time bomb. How he hasn’t started another world war is beyond belief.

Who would you invite – dead or alive – for a private dinner (one person only)? And why?

I would invite Prince William because he’s fun, sporty and a caring humanitari­an. A loyal and devoted family man and one who will take the royals into the future.

You get to buy one thing – no matter what it costs. What do you buy?

A cure for cancer.

What do you miss most about Lower Hutt when you are away?

The green hills, the river and Petone wharf, where I spent most of my adolescenc­e.

If you retrained for a different career – to what and why?

I would train to be a politician because you get to talk s*** all day, do nothing and be very well paid for it.

Is it time to ban Guy Fawkes and fireworks?

Yes, it is time to ban fireworks. They are dangerous for kids and animals but I agree with organised displays.

What frightens you? How/why?

The danger of illicit drugs in our community, how it affects the present and future generation­s, and the harm it does to family.

What’s top of your bucket list?

A world tour, mainly Europe and the UK.

Is it time to get rid of the haka before All Black tests?

No, this is part of our national heritage and it is enjoyed by so many people around the world.

Who is/was your favourite prime minister and why?

Sir Rob Muldoon, he was innovative, straight talking and a character of sorts and guaranteed to keep reporters employed.
