AMOUNT COOK investment property that hadn’t changed hands since 1995 has been auctioned for $180,000 above its rateable value.
The six-bedroom, two-bathroom house, at 29 Nairn St, had a rateable value of $670,000 and sold for $850,000.

Built in the 1910s, the 150-square metre dwelling was on a 211sqm section and being rented for $1260 a week.

The property, at 19L Kabul St, had a rateable value of $1.07 million and sold for $900,000.

The property, at 7 Aoraki Rise, had a rateable value of $720,000 and sold for $967,000.
‘‘It was a highly specified fourbedroom executive home with a designer feel, and quality fixtures and fittings, in a fantastic location,’’ says Micky Limmer, of Harcourts, who marketed it with Marty Ritchie.
The 225sqm house was built in the 2010s on a 618sqm section.

A WAIKANAE BEACH home bordering estuary reserve has been auctioned for $183,500 above its rateable value.
The property, at 25 Major Durie Pl, had a rateable value of $1.02 million and sold for $1,203,500.
The 180sqm house was built in the 1990s on a 703sqm section.
‘‘It was an architecturally captivating, four-bedroom home with unimpeded views of Kapiti Island, the ocean and river,’’ Ray Marshall, of Harcourts, says.

The four-bedroom, twobathroom property, at 47 Kentucky Way, had a rateable value of $520,000.
Built in the 1970s, the 290sqm house was on an 804sqm section with easy access to walking tracks.
‘‘Homes of this size in fantastic cul-de-sac locations are often sought after but seldom found,’’ Arend Renting, of Harcourts, says.
