Feature packed Galaxy Note now available in two sizes

-

FOR THE first time, Samsung’s next note-taking smartphone will come in two sizes. The 6.3-inch Galaxy Note10 and the 6.8-inch Galaxy Note10+ will go on sale for $1699 and $1899 respectively on August 23.

Both will have nearly bezel-less, edge-to-edge Dynamic AMOLED Cinematic Infinity Displays for writing on with a redesigned S Pen that instantly converts handwriting to digital text.

The colour and size of notes can be customised and exported to different formats, including Microsoft Word, while S-Pen gestures can be used to play games and access apps.

The displays will also be HDR10+

certified with dynamic tone mapping to make photos, videos, games and movies brighter than previous Note devices.

Samsung claims the new display will boast 98 percent colour and brightness uniformity, and will reduce blue light without affecting colour quality for comfortable viewing.

It says the Note10 will be crammed with “state-of-the-art tools” to capture video and photos for posting online, including prograde video without having to carry extra gear.

Depth-of-field adjustments can blur the background to focus on the subject, a zoom-in microphone amplifies the audio in frame and pushes background noise aside, and a new and improved “Super Steady” stabilises footage and time-lapse videos.

Video-on-the-go can be edited from the phone using the S Pen to trim footage while adding Adobe Rush will enable more sophisticated editing.

Gamers and vloggers can use Screen recorder to capture what’s on the screen, add reactions with picture-in-picture, and annotate with the S Pen as they record to create a more engaging video.

The Galaxy Note10 also integrates bleeding-edge AR and 3D capabilities into its camera.

AR Doodle uses the S Pen to personalise photos with drawings, effects, and animations that track to the image, the groundbreaking 3D Scanner and the Galaxy Note10+’s DepthVision camera can scan an object and turn it into a movable 3D rendering, and a new Night Mode on the front camera captures selfies no matter how dim or dark the conditions.

Samsung’s also made it easier for users to work between their phone and a PC or Mac.

With a compatible USB connection, they will be able drag and drop files between devices, and use mobile apps with a mouse and a keyboard, while keeping their data secure on their phone.

And one click will connect them to their Windows 10 PC for viewing notifications, sending and receiving messages, and reviewing recent photos without pausing to look down at their phone.

Other features will include 30-minute charging for day-long use, Wireless PowerSharing, the world’s slimmest vapour chamber cooling system for optimal game play, a PlayGalaxy Link P2P streaming service, and LTE and 5G-ready options to harnes the full power of the next generation network for streaming high resolution video, downloading content hyper-fast, and streaming graphics-heavy games in real time.
