5 yo went on a school trip to the Botans today. His teacher said at the end of the day he said ‘‘thank you for taking me on that lovely outing!’’, and that’s the first time a child has ever thanked her for a school trip! She was chuffed.

The price of rentals in western, southern, and eastern suburbs or Auckland is on par, or cheaper, than renting in Lower Hutt. The big difference though, is scarcity. There just isn’t enough supply at present in Wellington. It makes the prospect of finding a rental very stressful.

They’ve reintroduced native and endangered species, and are building breeding populations. Managed to see a Takehe (around 300 to 400 left). Good work, Wellington!
