Inner-city living with spectacular views

-

TENDERS CLOSE on December 4 for a spectacular, exquisitely decorated Te Aro penthouse with panoramic views and exceptional storage.

The sunny four-bedroom residence, at 8E/82 Cable St, occupies the northeast corner of the Piermont development and is complete with four car parks and two secure storage units.

It offers 230 square metres of luxurious single-level living with three balconies, three ensuites with underfloor heating, a guest toilet, a dedicated media room, three heat pumps, central air conditioning, and numerous bespoke features, including designer lights imported from offshore.

The owners were looking for modern inner city living without compromise. ‘‘We have loved living here being able to access all that the waterfront and inner city living has to offer,’’ says one.

‘‘It has allowed great flexibility and security with raising our four children and our spoodle loves walking in the town belt. We have loved the ever changing view and the convenience of being able to walk to town, to the beach, shops, restaurants and cafes.’’

The outlook is both iconic and scenic, encompassing everything from Te Papa, Oriental Bay and Saint Gerard’s Church and Monastery to north of the harbour and south of the town belt.

The vendor says the penthouse feels more like a house than an apartment because of its space, configuration and specifications. ‘‘The developer built this for himself, combining two-and-a-half apartments to give the space. He included numerous luxurious features and we’ve up-specced it since.’’

Recent improvements to the recently redecorated penthouse include LED lights, two new ensuites and a quartz kitchen bench. The kitchen also has a scullery, dual wall ovens and an integrated microwave oven, induction cooktop, double DishDrawer dishwasher, and plumbed-in refrigerator-freezer.

The kitchen is open-plan with the large living/dining room, which has floor-to-ceiling glazing (as do the bedrooms) and opens to a north-facing balcony. There’s also a balcony off the adjacent media room and another one off the main bedroom, which includes designer feature wallpaper, a deluxe walk-in wardrobe with fitted storage and foldout ironing board, and an ensuite with a dual- basin vanity that has a built-in laundry basket.

The other bedrooms and ensuites are in a separate wing, and there’s also a separate laundry with extensive storage.

Nicki Cruickshank and Alexia Stoddart, of Tommy’s Real Estate, describe it as a wonderful familysize penthouse that’s all on one level and enables a family to enjoy inner city living close to everything with great living spaces and views.

The penthouse has a rateable value of $2.25 million (excluding car parks and storage units).
