The property, at 4 Mercury Way, had a rateable value of $550,000 and sold for $715,000.
Gavin Faulke, of Harcourts, says it was a ‘‘very spacious’’ home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living spaces, a formal dining room, multiple heating sources and an air ventilation system.
The 190-square metre house was built in the 1980s on a 725sqm section with a double-garage, workshop and parking for a trailer.
‘‘It was in a fantastic location with zoning for Discovery School and Aotea College,’’ Faulke says.

A CHARACTER home on the sunny side of a popular Island Bay street has been auctioned for $846,000.
The four-bedroom house, at 40 Tiber St, was built in 1906 and had been re-piled, re-wired and replumbed.
‘‘All the hard work had been done and the exterior was in excellent condition,’’ says Nigel Solomon, of Harcourts, who marketed it with Erin Rush.
The 140sqm house was on a 465sqm section close to a kindergarten and primary schools.

The property, at 1A and B Seaview Rd, had a rateable value of $1.485 million and sold for $1.24 million.

The property, at 52 Rutherford Dr, had a rateable value of $425,000 and sold for $580,000.

The 100sqm dwelling included a north-facing deck and was on a fenced 600sqm section close to the expressway for easy commuting.

The Takaro property, at 107 Shamrock St, had a rateable value of $295,000 and sold for $395,000.
‘‘It was a great investment opportunity and offered huge potential to renovate and create a fantastic four-bedroom family home in a solid location,’’ Arend Renting, of Harcourts, says.
The 120sqm house was on a 539sqm section minutes from the central business district.
