Development selling fast

-

AGROUNDBREAKING development in Whitby is selling fast, with sections priced from $395,000 and house-and-land packages from $775,000.

The first stage of the Silverbrooke subdivision, at the end of Langborn Way, includes three terraces of townhouses, with three-to-four bedrooms and internal-access garaging, and five sections.

“It’s an amazing development focusing on lifestyle, with arguably more parks, grounds and walking/cycling tracks than any other we are aware of,” says Aaron Nation, of Lowe & Co Realty, who’s marketing Silverbrooke with Jason Clark, of Clark & Co Realty.

They are promoting it as “the new gateway to Whitby” because of its proximity to Transmission Gully, which, upon completion later this year, will improve access to Wellington City and the Kapiti Coast.

“Already Whitby is just 20 minutes’ drive from the Wellington CBD, Kapiti and the Hutt Valley,” Nation says.

“Transmission Gully will make getting into town or out to the coast even faster and easier for residents while enjoying an idyllic lifestyle with some of Whitby’s best sun and views.”

The variety of townhouses, which range in size from 140 to 186sqm, makes them suitable for everyone from professionals and couples to families – as does their proximity to Pauatahanui Inlet and Plimmerton for watersports, beaches and cafes.

The development is also within walking distance of Whitby Village and boasts more than five kilometres of native bush walks.

Nation says the townhouses have been designed to provide Silverbrooke with a “varied but consistent character” while maximising sunlight, efficiency and private indoor-outdoor living with patios and balconies.

“Insulation will exceed council requirements, and thermally engineered windows and LED lighting will be standard.

“Silverbrooke homes will cost less to run and be much better for the environment.”

The townhouses will have exteriors with Linea weatherboards and clay brick veneers, insulated concrete floor slabs and pre-painted metal roofing.

The interiors will include tiled floors, wool/nylon carpets, bathrooms with showers and baths, and kitchens with underbench ovens, ceramic cooktops, single DishDrawer dishwashers, and rangehoods.

“This is a great chance to buy a Silverbrooke home off the plans and lock in any possible capital gains before Transmission Gully opens and the city expands north,” Nation says.

With construction under way, the first homes are expected to be ready for occupation mid-2021.

A Silverbrooke display suite, with sample boards and plan packs, can be viewed by appointment at Clark & Co Realty’s Paremata office.
