Artists, audiences and the importance of connection

-

Circa Theatre is proud to be an artist-led organisation. Our management council is made up of actors, directors, designers, writers, producers, musicians and passionate arts supporters.

Although our theatre is currently closed, our team are busy in their home bubbles planning, zooming, connecting and strategising for the time ahead.

Thank you to Creative NZ for your fast action in responding to the crisis that is facing our sector. We are thankful for artists and thankful for Creative NZ’s swift actions in this emergency.

Circa Theatre and the Theatre Artists Charitable Trust (TACT) have worked together to provide grants to artists who qualify and who had their shows cancelled up until end of June 2020. We warmly thank Creative New Zealand and Chapman Tripp founding sponsor.

Circa’s arts community celebrates the people of Wellington and we thank Wellington City Council for their on-going support. You help keep the lights on!

Thank you to so many of our patrons who generously donated their ticket refunds so that the theatre and our artists can be supported.

We are going to need the continued support of our patrons and friends as we move forward together. If you’re in a position to be able to donate to our charitable trust we would appreciate any help you can give us. Please also consider signing up to become a Friend of Circa. Keep in touch. Keep connecting. Let us know how we can help you. He waka eke noa.
