New facility manager proud of “big, happy family atmosphere”
Nestled among the hills of Miramar, easily accessible and offering up panoramic views of Evans Bay and the airport is Ultimate Care Maupuia. New facility manager Teresa Hewson has recently joined the Ultimate Care Group family and says she loves working in such a scenic setting.
“At Ultimate Care Maupuia we are extremely family focused and encourage family members to participate in the care of their loved one either in the care process or activities and events being run by the facility,” Teresa says. “One of our biggest attractions is our homely atmosphere. We are smaller and therefore we liken ourselves to being one big happy family.”

Teresa has worked within the aged care sector for over 10 years at management level and has attained a raft of experience during that period. Her leadership style is on staff development and support with a focus on compliance, best practice and encouraging staff to be the best, they can be. She is fully committed to supporting her residents to continue living their lives with
