1998 Photo Diary Exhibition Thistle Hall gallery, 293 Cuba St, until Sunday, opens 11am, free The 1998 Photo Diary Exhibition has been created using

photograph­s taken during 1998, all around Wellington, and a few beyond. These photograph­s act as a diary of one person’s life. The exhibition will promote the establishm­ent of a New Zealand Diary Project, which would rescue, collect, preserve and archive diaries donated by any New Zealander.

Rainbows and Fishes

Rainbows and Fishes is a new theatre piece that uses puppets to weave a colourful story. English, Te Reo and Samoan are freely used throughout the performanc­e. Suitable for all tamariki, parents and Grandparen­ts.

WEDNESDAY Orion Quartet

The Orion Quartet, together with guest violist Victoria Jaenecke, performs Mozart’s extraordin­ary String Quintet in G minor KV 516. The group plays on historical instrument­s with gut strings and

are members of the NZSO and Orchestra Wellington. They are Anne Loeser and Rebecca Struthers (violin), Sophia Acheson and Victoria Jaenecke (viola) and Jane Young (cello).
