Key welcomes Tonga’s Prime Minister on first visit
Prime Minister John Key will welcome Tonga’s Prime Minister Samuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva to New Zealand for his first official visit tomorrow. Pohiva will receive a welcome at Government House in Auckland and will lay a wreath at theWar Memorial Museum while he’s in town. He’ll also visit Tongan workers in Nelson. Key said Tonga’s development was a ‘‘priority’’ for New Zealand’s aid programme. The countries had a ‘‘strong relationship, built around our long history of cooperation,’’ he said.
