Wood on target

All Whites striker Chris Wood scored the winner in Leeds United’s 1-0 victory at Ipswich Town in the English Championship yesterday. It was Wood’s fourth goal in the past four games and his seventh of the season and came against an Ipswich side which missed Wood’s injured Kiwi compatriot and friend Tommy Smith. Wood, who spent a loan period with Ipswich while on English Premier League club Leicester City’s books, netted in the 35th minute when he headed home Charlie Taylor’s cross after fine approach play by Stuart Dallas down the left flank.
